Ranchi: Ram Baboo Prasad took charge as the new director (Technical) of Central Coalfields Ltd. (CCL) on Saturday. The post has been lying vacant since January 1 after Bhola Singh joined the Northern Coalfields Ltd. (NCL) as the CMD.
Welcoming Prasad on behalf of the CCL family, chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) PM Prasad said under Prasad, the CCL will achieve new milestones in coal production and meet growing energy requirements of the nation in the backdrop of the energy and coal scarcity. Prasad’s name was recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board for the post of director (technical), CIL on December 28, 2021. Prasad was working as the general manager (Mining) with NCL, the third largest coal producing subsidiary of CIL, prior to joining the CCL as its technical director.
