Gumla: A para-teacher was shot dead by two unidentified assailants at Bhadgaon village in Gumla on Monday. Deceased Rajendra Lohara (36) was posted in Upgraded Middle School, Bhagaon located on the NH 143, but used to also work as labour supplier to brick kilns outside the state.
“He was shot by bike-borne assistants while returning home from the weekly haat,” said a family member.
“Some criminals had been demanding money from Lohara for the last two months and he had reported it to Bharno PS. They had pasted a pamphlet on his house threatening him,” said a source.
Gumla SDPO Manish Chandra Lal said, “The assailants have not yet been identified but will soon be nabbed.”
