RANCHI: The CBI has sought prosecution sanction from the department of personnel and training against additional chief secretary Arun Singh in connection with the alleged irregularities in Ghatkuri iron ore mines allotment to Usha Martin company in 2005.
CBI sources said that during investigation, they have come across certain evidences against Singh. He was secretary mines when the wrongdoing took place. Several officials of mining department are accused of irregularities during the allotment of the mine. When contacted, Singh said that he was not aware of the development.
