Bokaro: Two residents of Bihar have been arrested with 21 kg ganja valued at Rs 3 lakh at Bokaro railway station on Wednesday.
Bokaro RPF, station in-charge, Rajkumar Sao, said that regular checking is underway against illegal liquor, ganja smuggling in trains. The accused have been identified as Mantosh Saav (33) and Shatrughan Kumar Paswan (32). They brought marijuana from Sambalpur in Odisha and reached Ranchi by bus. From there they reached Bokaro station by Bokaro Alleppy Express and from here they were about to board Purushottam Express (12802) for Aurangabad when the RPF jawans caught them.
According to an RPF official, the accused are carriers involved in the illegal trade of marijuana. The sleuths of Crime Intelligence Branch of RPF and Government Railway Police were on duty when they saw the two moving suspiciously. The team members immediately stopped them and questioned. Their bags were checked in which brown coloured packets containing marijuana were found.
