Ranchi: The JMM on Monday hit back at the BJP over its state chief Deepak Prakash’s corruption charges against the state government and said the BJP leadership in Jharkhand has joined hands to nail former CM Raghubar Das.
“Prakash and Babulal Marandi returned from New Delhi together last week and Arjun Munda (Union tribal affairs minister) returned shortly after them. It seems that a strategy was hatched in the national capital that the leadership will use Hemant Soren’s name to expose the corruption which occurred during the tenure of Das so that he ends up in jail,” JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya claimed.
“During the tenure of Marandi, one officer allocated petrol pumps to his relatives. Why doesn’t Prakash bring that up?” he added.
Bhattacharya rebutted Prakash’s claims about JSMDC officer Ashok Kumar who allegedly secured a mining lease for his wife in Chinia block in Garhwa district.
“This lease was accorded during the tenure of Das. Why doesn’t Prakash come clean on this?” Bhattacharya claimed.
