Gumla: Around 46 tuberculosis patients have been adopted by officials, social activities and teachers in Gumla district’s Basia block under the district administration’s ‘TB Mariz Ko God Len’ campaign, officials said on Wednesday.
At a function in Basia on Tuesday, deputy commissioner Sushant Gaurav distributed TB nutritional kits to the patients.
Basia block development officer (BDO) Ravindra Kumar Gupta, who adopted five TB patients, said, “As many as 29 persons, including me and others, in Basia have come forward to adopt those suffering from TB. They will get provided TB nutritional kits for next six months.” Gumla administration has decided to make the district free from TB by 2024 under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
