Ranchi: The essential certificates related to educational qualification of 272 assistant teachers have been found to be fake during verification and action will now be taken against them.
The government will relieve such assistant teachers across the state who are not cooperating with the verification of their certificates. In accordance with the Assistant Teacher Service Condition Rules 2021, the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) is verifying the academic, training, and teacher eligibility test certificates of all assistant teachers across the state.
Talking to TOI, Director JEPC, Kiran Pasi, said, “The drive of verification of certificates of assistant teachers is going on and 72% of the teachers have submitted their certificates. Most of the teachers have cooperated with the verification work and have submitted their certificates to officials. However, we are compiling a report of teachers who have not submitted their certificates.”
There are around 62 thousand assistant teachers across the state. The Department of School Education and Literacy has requested detailed reports from all districts on how many para teachers’ certificates have been verified, how many are pending, and how many have been found fake. The officials at the district education department have been asked to compile a report for the State Headquarters and based on that action will be taken.
Many teachers have also resigned because of ongoing verification work. The report will be compiled soon. Along with removing them from their service, Legal action will be taken against the teachers having the fake certificates by December 31. More than two hundred assistant teachers have resigned and left job to avoid certificate verification.
“For the teachers who have not cooperated in verification work, it will be considered that their educational, training and teacher eligibility test pass certificate is irregular and will be discharged from their work,” said Pasi.
